 Relevant procedures for foreigners applying to work in China

1. Conditions for foreigners to work in China

At least 18 years old; in good health; no criminal record; have a confirmed employer; have the skills and experience to engage in their work; hold a valid passport.

2. Documents required for foreigners to apply for work in China

Employment Permit for Foreigners of the People's Republic of China; Occupational Visa; Employment Permit for Foreigners; Residence Permit for Foreigners

3. Various required documents and related departments

The applicant submits the following documents to the employing unit, which shall be handled by the employing unit:

Chinese resume;

The original and translation of the academic certificate; (foreign language education needs to be translated into Chinese and stamped with the official seal of a professional translation company)

Copy of valid passport;

Copy of health certificate; (After physical examination in a foreign public hospital, go to the Chinese embassy for certification)

A 2-inch photo;

Original copy of more than two years of relevant work experience; (issued by previous employers, indicating that they have worked in the company from XX year XX to XX year XX; foreign language documents need to be translated into Chinese and stamped with the professional translation company seal)

Within 15 days after the foreigner arrives in China, the employer shall bring the relevant documents to apply for an employment permit for the foreigner.

Residence permit for foreigners

After completing the employment permit, foreigners should apply for a residence permit with the employment permit to the local exit and entry administration within 30 days after entry.
